Sellotape dispenser

I bought a sellotape dispenser from Viking Direct. The sellotape I am putting in it isn't actually sellotape. Sellotape being the trade name (that Blue Peter was never allowed to say). It is cheap stuff. I think I bought ten rolls of it for £1.00 . So why on earth did I then pay £10 for the dispenser.

Hoover - that's another one where the trade name is universally used.
Tannoy - that's another.

Men and women

I was just thinking to myself there
If a man turns up at a function and saw another wearing identical clothes he'd probably say "Good choice in clothes, mate". If a woman turned up and saw another women wearing the same clothes she'd probably jump out the first available window to escape and avoid embarrassment.

Mushroom soup

I think it will be a lot easier if I just scan the labels of everything I eat from now on. Just now I'm about to have some "Cream of Mushroom Soup". It won't look quite like this. It never does. Besides, I will be having mine straight out of a Vitalite tub because that's what I am heating it up in the microwave in.

All that's passed my lips today....

You'll have to read the previous comments to understand the title. So all that's passed my lips today has been that tin of Rigatoni Carbonara, one cup of coffee and a couple glasses of coke. Pah! But no oranges yet.

What I have been eating

I think I'll take a note of what I am eating each day to see just how much my diet doesn't vary.

Plumrose Chicken Korma & rice

(**) Each day that I cycle to XYZ to work (usually Wed, Thu and Friday) I have six sandwiches. 2 in jam, 2 with a cheese slice and 2 with chicken sandwich filler. I also have one slice of bread with my cup-s-soup. How interesting.

Like a prune

I just went for a shower. I'm suffering the worst cold known to man. Not really - I had one some time ago that was torture as I couldn't breathe. I'm struggling to breathe now - but nowehere near as bad as then.
Back to my shower. Because it was so nice and warm under the shower I spen't a little too long in there. I have come out resembling a prune.
