Monitor wasn't burst after all

Just got my new flat screen monitor working and it looks as though it is the computer that is faulty and not the monitor. Well, as I couldn't test any other monitors on it how was I supposed to know. So I've now got an extra 19" CRT monitor. I may replace one of my 17" monitors with it and just have the 17" one sitting about doing nothing. I already have five 15" monitors sitting about the flat gathering dust and one 13" monitor. Why can't I just throw them out? I've also got a scanner that only works on Windows 95......and none of my computers have Windows 95.
